when I put 127.0.0.1:7777 in favorites for my server.

I run my server and try to connect but it says Server isn't responding. retrying...

-is your server running?
-are you running your server on port 7777? (check config.cfg)
-do you have any applications running on your pc that could block the server?
-did you ever mod your OS so 127.0.0.1 isn't the loopback adress anymore?

if you checked that and you still didn't find the problem, then try to connect with your network IP (alternatively with a loopback adapter)

if that still doesn't work then post your config's, and maybe some screenies

remember that these files are on versoin 0.2.3 so you also need that client version then.. if you want to use 2.0X you can just use the 2.0x server and client files from

To view the content, you need to sign in or register

and copy all the required files into the server (gamemodes/gm.amx , scriptfiles folder)

ok can some1 get me a link for a 0.2.3 client and not a 0.2X plz

0.2X is the latest client, all other clients earlier than 0.2X won't work.

if you use both 0.2.3 client and server then it will work.. but yeh its better to use 2.0X

:l you forgot to Leave out that you need GTA Sa for cpu to play the server but thats fine.

yeh it was just about the server part

ps: connecting to the game:
-install gta san andreas in the standard folder
-install sa-mp from

-run sa-mp and login to a server

I needed a static ip for port forwarding, I actually used a program that set up the static ip for me. And port forwarding is easy once you have a static ip. With a netgear router atleast.
