Updating enUS with enGB patches?

Is this possible? Basically I was looking to set up my own Private Server, and I have a lot of American friends willing to play. I have uploaded patches to my own site, however they are enGB. I was wondering, is it possible to patch enUS with enGB, or does it have to be the same locale?

I don't think it is possible - there are slight differences inside archives between different locales...
