ok i never thought i would have this problem.

i kno threads have been made over and over but i do not have the time and patience.

im so pissed.

heres my story.

i reforrmatted computer because i thought i was infected. and users couldnt connect.
i temporiarily fixed that. now its doing it again. like i see the RecivMesg goes up to around 3. but i cant connect. obviously this is an ip conflict. but i have restarted my home network and got a new ip.... still nothing

please help

In your router config, forward ports 10000 - 10009 both UDP/TCP to the IP Adress where the server is ran at.

check your ODBC connection

i dont think that would help becasue thats embedded into windows and its service is allways running even without internet access.

ODBC wont loose conenction its attached to you mac address.

Just make sure since you did format and reinstall that your ODBC connection DOES exists as c8master and points to the accountdb database NOT the account_db.

the only thing is. with port forwarding.

im set on the dmz zone. so shouldnt it forward all ports?

or is dmz bad?

dont use dmz use Dynamic DNS

Not really, but I would prefer just to port forward so my server isn't vulnerable to anything else that windows itself does NOT protect me from(everything).

this is turning out to be like my car.

cylinder 2 misfire but i have replaced everything from cords, plugs, dist cap, rotor. everything (sorry off topic)

so yea. im really getting fed up. its starting to turn out like a night mare

i have searched for DMZ TO Dynamic DNS
DMZ to D DNS

etc, etc.

i jus need a general guiding.

and just turn of DMZ and setup your Dynamic DNS with dyndns.org
but take the guide first.

so i would take my DDNS name and instead of ip's use that?

maybe you should try expirementing with that let me do some research.
I am guesing it would if u have a ddns domain free or paid.

ok well. for a temp fix i tried hami.

and its pretty bad when that dont work.

mabye its my hotuk.

but y wuld it work then stop.

imma need some hotuks.

i will search but if u guys have one and u feel intrieged to post it go for it.
