I'm more scared of the scientists they had before the collapse of the Soviet Union (and later employed by Iran, USA, etc) developing advanced biological weapons (ABW), myself

A nuclear bomb, the human race can recooperate from, but an ABW (not things like Anthrax or Smallpox - REAL advanced stuff) could kill us off - in a very short period of time.

The rash starts with flat red sores that develop at the same rate. Lesions become pus-filled and begin to crust early in the second week.
