vclient is vidar's Connection Test Utility. you dont need it to run vidar server.
anyway it works for me.
have you copied your vhm files at map folder?

I've never tried Vidar...is it easier to set up than eAthena or Odin (Odin's very simple, but its qulaity doesn't compare to Athena)

vhm files are map files. copy it all in your map folder, then vclient will run.

i have both eathena & vidar, when i tried to install it the first time its eathena that i installed fast & correctly due to lots of support. & many had already tested it so almost all errors were already encountered & can be found in forums.
But for now, i'm trying to learn vidar, & so far its quite good can handle lots of mob than eathena.
