I own a vista computer, it's kickass graphic anyway, but the lag in games is enormous.
Basically i want to change the memory a game can take from my computer, running as admin doesn't really help at all so..
For example the game Spore, it lets you set a graphic buffer in-game, but that doesn't seem to change the lag at all.
I've tried setting the graphics to crap, and also change the size of the game. Nothing seems to work, really.
So my question is this: Can i somehow set a game to take more memory than other programs?
Thanks in advance.

PS:
I have 4gb ram, a dual core processor like 2,5 or something. Kickass video card, which i recently purchased, so it isn't my specs.

Vista uses alot of CPU, try switching to annother os, like Windows xp, or preferably linux.

Vista uses no more CPU power then XP SP3 or many Linux distros when you have the same amount of TSRs running in the background.

Actually, Vista is more efficient with task management over multiple processors then XP. Thus making it actually use less CPU utilization per core then XP.

NoPeace - out

I would firstly update all drivers for your computer sometimes this really helps!! another thing is lag during games can sometimes come from underpowering of hardware this is VERY dangerous and can cripple the computer part making it unusable.

Second go to search box inside the start menu and type dxdiag this will give you a Diagnostic of your Graphics card and computer in general.
