ok so im using xampp and i have these ports fowarded 80,81,443

and i send my friend a link to my site and it doesnt load for him

To view the content, you need to sign in or register

none of those work for him so im wondering wtf and im about to launch publicly and t his is the only thing holding me back from releasing so t_t

so i was wondering if there is anything i did wrong

Just give him the IP not the ports too

Also if you are using any kind of firewall you need to allow access to those ports on the firewall otherwise your friend cannot access the site.

All i have is avast and it is currently turned off and windows firewall allready allowed those ports

1st check if theres a green box in the apache window.
2nd make sure ur web site in the folder HTDOCS

Check your config file. The host name shouldnt be localhost anymore if you want people over the internet to access it.

there are tons and i just installed dynasty cms

but ne ways i dont know which config and all of my ports are fowarded and its still not working.

i went through everything i could think of and nothing worked and its starting to make me mad.....

last time i didnt have any trouble with this.

last time mysql was messsing up and i had to reformat to get it to work again.

but thanks for the help so far and im using xampp lite.

same problem with my webserver...if i used localhost it worked...buh if i used my wanip it ididnt work it doesnt show my webserver it show's my router configuration...>.<

local host worjks and my wan ip works for me but when i give someone else my wan ip it doesnt load for them

falcon u need to port forward. If u can see ur site via WAN IP then u havent port forwarded.
