My teacher failed me because she thinks that I copied this paper.
I wrote an essay on Edgar Allan Poe's life in relation to his writings. I wrote a rough draft that I really hated so I wrote an entirely new paper screwing the old rough draft (consisting of 2 paragraphs). She told me I didn't need any quotes or parenthetical documentation so I didn't do it. I put footnotes in it to prove a bit of my stuff like the stuff I didn't know already (I knew a lot about the topic already that's why I picked it).
He passing of judgement basically boiled down to: "Your footnotes were non-existant" and "Chris (that's me) you don't write like this" which the latter is appropriate since I hadn't done shyt in that class until then. Although, grading a paper on past biases isn't a good way to grade I think.
I had to keep from hitting her in the face as she talked to my dad and told him all this stuff that was untrue. "He spelled colour the British-way, like it was taken from another source", fck you *****! I always spell it that way! "He had no notecards at all for footnotes", they were in there when I turned it in >.>

Wh005h's favorite: "This is not English III writing, this work is that of an author and obviously not written by Chris."

I'm both insulted and flattered at the same time because she said I can't write like that but knowing that I actually did makes me flattered since she thinks it was beyond me.

i dont know why, but seeing this makes me really mad

i guess its because, they same exact thing happened to me, except i still got the grade, my teacher suspected that i copied it all from online and such, but he let it slide(i did all the work myself though)

I've had something similiar happen tho but the teacher actually felt a little nice so he just gave me the closest grade to a fail and then gave me a nice little speech. That was the last and only time i actually tried while writing for the dumb bastard. To think I was so happy when i gave it in too. If you really want to prove yourself keep writing similiarly to how you did in this essay for all toher essays. I don't actually know if you still got school but if you did keep doing the same things the teacher would realize you wrote it yourself and feel terrible bout herself.

i had that happen to me i used live interview with the people that live in the country ( netherlands) and she failed me cuz i did that she said i stole the vids of you tube

Ah, being pissed off at a teacher who had underestimated you.. and psychopathically writing an essay with the potential to put her in her place. I did that once. =]

We were given about a month to write a narrative about some interesting experience that we'd had... it was 4 AM, the day the paper was due, I had not started, and I was very stoned... I wrote about the day before it was due up until the moment I finished writing it.. doing normal stuff, falling asleep, waking up and realizing it was due tomorrow, writing it, and finishing it.. that's what it was about. best paper in the class tbh...

I think you should continue challenging your teachers decision until she accepts that your paper was legitimate.

Class is over anyways so I can't do much talking to her anyways.
I sent a copy to my class's superviser (I'm in a special set of clases that only like 20:600 people are in) and she'll vouche for me in my defense =p
She has a lot of power in our school ^_^

That sucks, Hope it works out.
I wouldn't let this go if it was me I would argue until I got the mark that i deserved.
Makes me angry just reading it lol.
