I myself am using the following combination of antivirus software, popup blockers and other things:

1 - Avast Antivirus - I am very impressed with this. If I ever download or open something that is classed as any kind of threat, no matter how small, I get the sound of an air-raid siren and then a friendly voice telling me what to do.

2 - Spybot Search and Destroy - I love this. With one click of a button, I can find any problem in your system, and fix it, just like that.

3 - Ad-Aware Personal SE - I use this quite often. It picks up the occasional insignificant tracking cookie that Spybot Search and Destroy doesn't class as a threat.

4 - Spyware Blaster - I'm not actually sure what this does. I have never used it.

5 - Ad-Block Plus Add-On For Mozilla Firefox - I love this little beauty. All I have to do is right click on an advertisement or anything I don't like the look of, then click on "BLOCK IMAGE" or "BLOCK FRAME", and voila, I never see it again!

6 - Mozilla Firefox - Firefox just blocks popups. It's as simple as that. No extra downloads or plugins required.

7 - Windows Firewall - This doesn't really help me. It can be down or up and no difference is made.

What are you using, though?

1: Nod32 - Pwns everything.

2: Spybot - Hardly use it, likes to mess with my registry.

3: Sygate - Pwn.

4: Valiance Anti Ad - Killz adware like a mofo. Also blocks popups.

1. Nod 32 > Virus detection.
2. Sygate firewall > Setting up to "Block ALL!" in Adv rulz and allowing only that what i wan to ^^
3. Kaspersky Firewall! > Anti banner, def conf data, etc.. anti sql worm helk...

i have no problems with this softwares, only first 3 Days ^^

Wow, that's a lot of protection there, Furiosity.

Like most companies, when they become famous they start working hard for their product. Basicly Norton stinks hard for a product you have to pay for.
