What causes DC?

Hey guys

When I had the server on my computer, it used to give disconnect to a lot of users

I personally wouldn't get any dc at all

My computer is good, I believe, 2ghz and 1gb of ram
Net is 1mb download and 512kbps upload

Even if they had all files, everything installed, they'd still get DC

Ideas?

all gm's are fine but normal players get dc'd

It could also be your net connection. 1 meg d/l, 512 kbps up, not too good. I know how you feel though.The upload speed is not too pleasant. When I did the BNF-PT stress test when the server files were released, I found some people would get into the game, disconnect as soon as hitting the game, then some people later on in the game loose their connection at any random time.

Often times people can also loose their connection if they don't have certain files, like monster files client side.
