ASUS P5K-E WIFI DESKTOP BOARD
CORSAIR TWIN2X 2GB KIT PC6400 800M
HDD WD CAVIAR GREEN 500GB 7200/16MB/SATA2
VC XFX 8500GT 500M PCIe/256MB/TV/DVI (x2)
HSF ZALMAN CNPS9700LED HEATSINK COOLER
PSU ANTEC EARTH POWER 430W PSU

all thats about $904 AU

No, that is a bad deal.

1. PSU should be around the 600W mark so you do not need to replace it in the next few years, and so you can SLI since you are planning on getting 2 GFX cards.
2. Do NOT get 8500GT's, they are absolutely horrible cards and having 2 is even worse. How much did you want to spend on a GFX card(s)?

about 180 each
im buying from www.ple.com.au
but i prefer not to spend to much...

i was gonna go SLI or Crossfire

PLE... so you're in perth? If so, go to austins computers instead, so much better prices.

And 180 EACH is horrible, Austins for example, has 8500GT's at $70 each...

Do not get two cards now, get 1 9600Gt instead. Same price / cheaper (Austin has MSI ones for $145) and much faster

dude...MSI...do you know what your talking about?

MSI = cheap and crappy
msi has more chance of NOT working when Newly installed, i know i have done a few...

but i did have alook at the web it have taken $120 off of what i was gonna buy

9600GT 512MB PCI-E (x2)
Huntkey PSU 400W
DDR2-800 Corsair 2GB-Kit
Asus Mainboard P5K-VM
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600

$770.41

Q6600
Biostar P45
Gskill 4GB (2x2GB)
WD 640GB
1xor2x 4850 or 4870 (u need at least a 24" to get advantage of SLI or CF)
XIGMATEK S1283 or S1284
psu depends if ur going to sli/cf or not

i dont want the "advantage" i just wanna play games, the "advantage" is in fact useless
i dont want what i cant use...

MSI ain't crap, it's an A-class brand.
And the PSU you have there is crap, certainly not good enough for that system.

well its al ways been a Z class for me, never quite working right or not working at all

You call MSI a crappy brand then ask me if i know what i'm talking about? You are clearly very knowledgeable about these things, so why ask advice here then?

huh? so if you do not want any additional performance, why get 2 cards? He was saying that if you want to actually be able to tell the difference between 1 card adn two, you need a big monitor.

Yea and some people say Asus is a bad brand with lots of DOA's. It depends on how you receive them and from where they came from.

the "i just wanna play games" part did ya read that
i need it for that only....wide screens are crap for me so ill stick with my old one...

Asus only have the best Mother Board and nothink more

anys i think ill stick with what ive put on top with out that video cards

So go back and read them again. They might as well be set in stone; you can read them over and over again at your leisure.
