What programming language was used for mir?

is that a games programming language and d you know any sites where i can learn some?

Thanx in advance

no it jolly well isnt a games making program........ its one of the most versatile programming languages... and no offence u haven't got a hope in hell in learning it, it's quite difficult..... no there are not many sources of great info on the net i suggest books, some cost about

Actually I Have The Mir2 Source Codes And It Is Programmed In C++ With Limited Delphi.

But They Both hard To Learn >.<

its almost pure delphi, almost no c++

and delphi aint somethin u just learn, its the most complicated programmin language there is around, it dont have ne limits to what it can do tho

and if u who posted this thinks u can just get delphi and modify the game how u want it ur reeeally mistaken, dont even bother trying

and btw this dont really fit in general does it? -_-

i have the C++ programs on me pc so cud sum 1 post the source code as a winzip?
eh?

1. U could never work out how to change it, it would take u years of learning

2. its Delphi not C++

3. It's about 100x more serious to give out and have source code then the server files

4. and therefore we aint daft enough to give it out, "if we had it"

C++ is industry standard for games producing at the moment, it is not hard like people think it is, if you wanna program games learn C++ and a graphics library like DirectX.

Delphi was used for some of the Mir2 client, the server is C++ and the Client was powered by C++, Delphi simply isnt fast enough for a whole MMORPG or 3d game.

If you cba to learn C++ just buy DarkBASIC Pro or Blitz3D, these are easy to learn game making languages.

if have a good proffessional team its not hard to do it using delphi, server is 100% delphi, dont know client, but i know patch.exe is delphi as well

and it may not be hard 2 learn c++ but to edit these files if u found some c++ files in it would be near impossible for someone who is learning atleast

i know where one can get the delphi source of logsrv ;) ...... like im gonna share it tho

yeah...Delphi has a lot of limits...it's the Borland equivalent of Visual Basic. Yeah, chances are it's written in c++ and even that isn't too hard, but chances of you making LoM in a year alone is unlikely.

no its not "chances are" it's definitely not written in C++... it's just too damn obvious it's delphi......
Delphi IS NO WAY NEAR VB IT IS FAR TOO ADVANCED FOR IT!

1. delphi isn't one of the hardest languages to learn!
2. delphi is the programming language to make server software with!
3. C++ programming language is the best choice for making games, not server software!
