Umm. I'm wondering .. O.o

What if someone would create a Private Server

And when he/she gets lots of money in his PS he/she will instantly shut it down in order to un-cost the money spend on hosting? What will happen to people like that. They are scamming people!

What can we do on that kind of situation

A person creating " Private Server "

Just to hack that user... T_T .. kinda sad. I just wondered:scratch:

i think he mean people who make private server for donations and giving items in stead and at last they close it

It's not stealing..
If you sign up at a PS, you accept to the TOS..
If you donate for items and they close the server I'm pretty sure it's your own risk!
yea 100% right ... but what about someone who say this sevrer will not be down and money back if it down and in 1 week he down it and no money back

That's the downside of a private server, they can do as they wish with it. If you're going to pay though, might as well go on the real servers.

Lol
i think that any user that pays for is is aggering to the rules.
so if they have a disclaimer and people aggre they could easily hide it in there somewhere.
or make something sound like it could close down at anytime.
this is just what i think..

You must be a fool to send money on a server with 50 ppl max, you should see wtf happend on community, if this server is longterm if staff care about users and then be sure that your money be in good place and u will play your game with pleasure.

Well not much you can do.
That's the whole damn risk about paid private servers. That's why always opt to play on a free one and atleast have that basic confidence that the host is a good one and not gonna lift off once he's got what he wants.

Got real close to $2k in donations on my RF server then closed it after a month. Got bored of it lol.

People are stupid if they pay on private servers but hey, I got money for it so I'm not complaining. :D

Waaaaaaaaaaaaasteman, Im telling! :smurf:

(Nee no nee no) :busted_co

Well isn't it illegal to sell online items on a illegal server anyway (The game company can sue you if I'm right?). So your just taking your own risk tbh, how it's usually set up is so that it's seen as you donate to the server for whatever reason (to keep it online etc.) and in gratitude they give you an item within range, that's how they keep it a legal process I think. Not sure if I'm chatting complete **** but that's what I've heard and think.

EDIT: Of course all the donaters really see it as just buying the items from the server, but if they say we just give items out of gratitude from donations, well you can't really do **** all about it

Though, donations means that you give away stuff to help someone or something, if you use the stuff you got for something else, then you're violating your own rules. For example, there's a server that says to donate to improve the server, but when people donated, the owner used the donations to buy an iPhone 3G, thats just wrong.
