What's going on with the WoW community.

Hello RaGEZONE.

I'm a fairly old member, and probably a well known figure / name in the Emupedia community as well as for a few fixes here and there, and guiding people in the right direction.

Why I am posting this message? I believe I am a fairly respected member in the Emupedia / RaGEZONE community and would like to know a few things.

Recently, a friend of mine 'Espire' was banned from the RaGEZONE forums. He was the one who was banned and not the alpha members and/or moderators that actually flamed him and called him all sorts of things.

My respect for this community has always been unquestionable up until now. What happened to people helping each other? All I can see are flames now. Espire has done more for the WoW community than any of you EVER have and WILL. I can guarantee this fact to you 100%.

Espire does NOT use code from MaNGOS, actually it is very much so the opposite. I implore you all to ask the MaNGOS developers, and they too will admit that Espire has brought them to where they are today. Watch for a next major change in versions, without Espire's contribution they WILL stay where they are.

My basic message is: Grow up and stop being so damn immature, I didn't see anything wrong with Espire's posting etiquette and yet you harbor in 'noobs' and allow them to post threads that have been answered many times before.

Ban me, flame me - do whatever you will, you will just prove my point further.

In fact, mangos wouldnt even exist without Espire's help initially.

dude he got banned for admitting to crash the server using a script wich is very logicall also the disrespecting behaviour helped him 2...

Don't act like he's a god and mangos woudn't exist without him,, he helped but he didnt make the emu to what it is now...

Your 'god' also mentioned that without him mangos would never become 1.11 ... well it HASNT mangos moved from 1.10.2 to 1.12, yes some lazy devs edited the 1.10.2 to make a fucked up 1.11 but that wasnt anywhere near "stable"

Most of us know that mangos is born out of wowd but dont act like espire was the only wowd dev, also when they used the source of wowd it wasn't anywhere near this...

As you can see if you would read the changelogs you woulds also know that they've done some version conversions WITHOUT help allready...

Now my point again.. dont act like he's a god will ya ? lol? Ok he might have a nice emu etc but that isnt near perfect neither... It freezes all the time!...

Also you and me arent that "old" and "welknown" here, were from 06.. there are members from way more back.. U cant tell ppl to respect u,, u gotta earn it

We do not act like he is our "god" as you call it. He is merely a friend.

And for mangos... You can definetly see the difference between the mmo4free emu and the mangos emu....even though they were both spawned by wowd. Where the mmo4free emu holds...somewhat...stable at 800 players, mangos commits suicide way before that...Also if you compare the code, you can see that whoever did certain things in mangos, only did a 1/3 job, also cutting alot of shortcuts...

The reason of this wasnt to glorify espire in any way (he looks like a kangeroo btw)...It was to kill off some of the rumours that called him a codestealer etc...

those who refrain it as mangos have no or few info about the emu scene,, simply said they wont come here, in other words ur whole point would be useless here lol..

Anyway dont see mangos counted out yet we had 350 ppl online with 1/2h stability and mangos hasnt been focussing on the net code/recources yet so... anyway if you want to count mangos out allready, fine, your loss... I think thats just ur right and I shall respect that.

I've been here much earlier than '06 my friend and don't you dare compare yourself to me. In fact Espire was never a part of WoWD it died before he could get to it so theres something new aye? Version conversions? They don't include his name in there.... and what, a conversion from 1.10.1 to 1.10.2 or something? Don't play this game with me.

I'm not asking for respect or any of that. I'm saying that people should not assume that he is any form of codestealer. Glorify Espire haha, as mgX already said we aren't here to glorify him, but just tell you that you made mistakes accusing him of something he didn't do.

Grow up WoW Community. I leave for a few months and I am ashamed to come back to this flame pit that its become.

(like he did 2 many) but his actual name was moocow and that was a dev from stormwow wich used wowd... Also only becuz a few nabs said it was mangos u start to freak out? get a life lol..

Wow this place really has taken a turn on the down slide. Mod's are now attacking people for stating their opinions, no wonder I don't stop in here much anymore, this place really has gone down hill when the staff won't stop to clewan up the forums but will stop to visit to attack others posts.
