What's the best peice of advice anyone/anybody has given you?

The only really useful one that I use almost everyday is one my mum kept telling me when I was younger:

Be patient.

Because, "A man without any patience is like a lamp without oil". That was a quote from some guy called Andres Segovia
& for some reason various ppl keep tellin me to:

Study hard.

But it's still gonna be a few more years yet before I see any benifit from this.

Yeah i always ignored that advice, i'm not sure why, i guess it would spoil the fun.

Anyway best advice was to be never as dumb as my parents and start smoking, it was great advice because no kid wants to be as dumb as his/her parents.
