What's the difference?

What is the difference on virtual private server(VPS) and Dedicated server(DS) ?
I just can't seem to see the difference, by the way, which one would be best to maybe host a runescape private server?

Dedicated means that PC is used solely for hosting your server. a VPS means the server is only run on a virtual machine ; that machine is not dedicated and can also be used to host other things.

So a dedicated will obviously be faster and more reliable.

Can advice me any good site where I can get cheap dedicated, as I don't have that much money?
