Hey everyone, how are things?

I've been on and off in the forum for awhile and recently MapleStory has gotten me interested to get back playing it but as for the news, I saw what happened to SwordieMS. It was fair, but such a shame, that was probably the best up to date server around. All the others (up to date servers, not u Royals and Legends!) AFAIK have a pretty wild moderation that can be very aggressive towards some players that aren't part of the community.

So playing on an active server right now seems like an unhealthy idea. Anyways, there was a v214 leak months after the v206 of Swordie, and at the time I was researching for the best servers, they all had some issues here and there that made it to a point unplayable. I think the best ones were v83, HeavenMS. It's the best I know, and I played through it entirely! No glitches that made me get locked in a part, I could play it without a care in the world.

Made many characters go from lv 1 to beating Zakum and a .wz modified PinkBean to make it soloable, so they could wear the best gear (timeless). Boy, that was fun!

As for higher versions, I've heard v117.1 was decent, but had issues to run in Win10 machines, until Erik came up with a solution to his own source. But I don't know how playable it actually is, haven't heard from people like me, that are players, not server owners.

v206 was next. Swordie coming to save the day. For me personally, I tried setting it up and I failed. Not sure what part it was, can't remember. Anyways, I've heard this is a good one and now there is even v214 but from what I could gather v214 is a bit messed up because the game had some sort of revamp at the time, was it?

So. In your opinion, if there's one, what's the most stable source someone could install and get ready to play right now? Taking aside side-features like Guilds, Minigames, Jump Quests and Events... The main game. Going from lv 1 to 200 and bossing if it's available (because I've heard Bosses are hard to code).

One more question, if none of these are, you know, playable, how much time can an average coder that knows what he's doing but does it from scratch could fix the main issues of the game? I know it's a silly question because it depends on a lot, but how long did it take for u to make your game up and running nice and smooth?

These questions I'm asking for myself, but it would be interesting to keep other people updated as there are more and more newcomers to the forums, like I was. The more we know, the brighter is a light at the end of the tunnel for the people who loves the game!

True! I completely forgot about that one. I set the server up yesterday to try it, it is running well but I still got to figure out how to login using Moonlight 1.5 or Poki's. Based in their trello during the release, many classes are totally playable.

EDIT: Could finally log in and play the game! Going to try it and see how it is.
