The opinion is coming out of my mind for a period and finally someone express it in a detailed way: Golden Monkey - The Reality of Gold Farming and The Secondary Market of RMT.
They just care about their pocket and ignore the feeling of us. theoretically speaking I doubt there is any difference between them and the eastern 'grind maker' company.
The majority of games in the MMORPG genre essentially follow the same design methodology, one which creates the perfect breeding ground for the secondary market of RMT. The current model forces, directly and indirectly, players to follow suit, style, and goal while expecting time to be valued equally by all players in all locales; without such a Petri dish the subject of gold farming wouldn't exist.
----------------------------------------------------
The truth is that while many developers state that they are in disagreement with the practice and vow to fight or remove it from their game, they make this claim knowing full well that it is in direct contradiction to their design model and philosophical motives which are in turn both subservient to their business goals.
----------------------------------------------------
Despite all the declarations of war on RMT and glorified displays of heroism from game companies and designers the reality is that rather than incurring losses they in fact gain in many ways from farming.
Gold farming is also the quintessential scapegoat for any problems that may arise within the economy or even the game as a whole.
---------------------------------------------------
The single way to outmaneuver the secondary market is to change the design goals from which it spawns. Only once the focus is averted from time and retargeted towards the players' experience can we truly start to deal with RMT the way it should be.
