Ok this is and isnt perfect world related its more basic networking. I have had six or seven people message me in private wanting to know why say their vmware image servers or local box hosted servers cant be accessed from the web.

So far for only one the answer was different .. you dont have a forward facing / dedicated ip ...( One that can be viewed from the web is a simple explanation.) Most people are on what is called cgnat to over simplify the the ip they use to connect to the internet is used by many people. You need one of your own to host a live server.

Now if you are behind cgnat there are ways for instance I use my own private vps to bypass cgnat on my home server through a vpn. However this is complicated and if you are not looking to run all the maps and a massive server you might be better off just getting a cheap vps to actually run it on. i just thought id put this here with that phrasing so the people looking might get pointed in the right direction. I may do a tutorial on setting the server up when you are behind cgnat later.

I can connect via LAN from the PW client computer to the PW server computer thanks to Herace009's tutorial on YouTube, hopefully there will be a tutorial on connecting via the internet later. I will wait here until there is a tutorial on forwarding the PW Server IP, so that it can be connected from the PW client computer to the PW Server via the internet
