[win32 error] system cannot find specified file Mir3

i really appreciate help rite now...
i've follow all the entire guide and already search the entire forum but i still can't find out the solution, i try to un-install and install again SQL but nothing works..

according to my search result this problem is because of ODBC.
can u guys let me know, where did i miss the part ?

or any other guide that is more specifically about ODBC etc.. ??

Did you follow my guide? It has pictures for every step of the way and I took these screenshots while doing the guide. I suggest one of two things really:

Check that your ODBC is created on System DSN and you tested to make sure it connected and passef the test.
make sure the password match as well as the ODBC Name in DbSrv
Make sure the IP/Map path (which is looking for ENVIR mapinfo.txt NOT the map paths.

Yeah Terabyte i'm using ur Guide with picture in it.. i've follow ever single step in it..
uhm.. but i'm using MS SQL 2000 Enterprise Edition, is it the problem there ?

MS SQL 2000 Enterprise is what you should use, yes. but you still need the ODBC to connect to the SQL database. are you sure you've done everything to the word on Tera's guide?

try the idiots guide as well, that could have something that might help you.

and now i still don't know how to make an account..
i can log into the game but dunno where to create a new ID.

i've seen some thread said that use make account tools to make new id.
where to get that program ?

Use LoginSrv IDTOOL (its on your screenshot middle right there) click ADD then hit the button on the bottom Left when you made the account. I find it worth checking by entering the name in the lttile search box to make sure it makes it as I found sometimes seems to ignore your request (dumb program).

To allow other people to make a account they use a cut down MIR2 1.4 client bit which is around the net all over (sorry no links on me as of yet) or a full version of 1.4 - they only use this this though to create account not play the game.

By the way - as people Search the forum for answers, can you post back what the problem and how you got it working...Thanks

Loginsvr tools for creating new account not working.
when i click on add new account, nothing happens.. i try this so many times, but it didn't pick me up. :chair:

mir2 1.4 client ? u mean u want me to download mir2 client again just to make an account ??

Are there other suggestion better than re-download mir2 back ?

the read emergency map is not an error it shouldnt stop u from entering the game!

hmm didnt see thye win32 error first time /
make sure all paths are correct in !setup.txt
including the \ at end of map\.
apart from that i cant help sorry ....

ive got the same prob as u had (the win32 error) cud u plz post how u fixed it? thx

edit: fixed the problem

all i changed was my sql password (didnt use special chars this time) n changed the map file path to go for the mapinfo.txt not the map folder....sorted
