Hello guys of ragezone, this forum is great,Im from Brazil(perhaps my english ins't very good, but i try to keep the post clear)im my first thread i need some questions about WoW servers and emulators, here i go:
1-Now i downloaded the fully WoW client with TBC,and i need to known the better emulator for my server,i need the most updated and estable version(i think it is Mangos, but i dont known its is updated)
2-My internet connection is 2mb,how many players i can host online with no LAG??
3-What software i need to configure and run my own server?(like sql server, etc)
4-For the server, its need a powerfull system like pentium dual core, etc or no??

For now is it,my pricipal question is the best emulator,i will wait for answers, thanks for the atention and again sorry my poor english

I prefer MaNGOS, its open source and constantly revised. To run any of the current servers you are going to need MySQL, if your download connection is 2mb thats great but its the upload that matters really. If thats 2mb as well, you should be able to fill it up pretty well. Its the DB and processor thats really going to limit your players if this is the case. And yea, the better the processor the better the server.

I have a similar connection. I go by the "Halo 2" hosting method. I can't host a game of Halo 2 with over 6 people in it.

How this relates:

For some reason if you have about 10-12 people on, there isn't a problem. Jam them all onto the same map and fighting the same mob. Expect to see the Dragon die about 5 minutes after it actually happened. I limit my server to 20 and pray they never decide to buddy up with one another.
