New core.

Jaboxer and I will be working together, he will lead DB development for this core, myself and others will lead core dev. Our intent is to finish the starting area entities and quests, then move to outland, with the help of the community this will take no time at all.

that database he posted in this thread, is not ours.

so i really cant comment on it as of the moment.

our team is releasing one later this week, we've merged with
Fan's core (as per request), i just wanted to make that clear,
the db in this thread, not silvermoons.

Got very few errors myself. Besides getting around the realmlist loop it's runs great. I would reccomend d/l-ing this. I'll be watching the other forums boxer. Can't wait for the next set.

I used both the maps attained from the Silvermoon project page on Emupedia and the database. There's a file entitled 061.sql. Use that. That file was the download from above.

As for the maps. Using the ones linked on the silvermoon post. Unless you have an account on emupedia you can't see the post, so I won't bother with a link. In the MaNGOS section. Pretty sure it's open reg right now.
Oh, and as for a working ad.exe...

Kool, when using 061.sql did you run it as a query or restore dump?

query seeming to take forever like it crashed.

dump has sort of worked lol

I tried using navicat and laughed at it. (Sad since I have the retail.) Used SQLyog and just imported the batch file. Took it's diligent sweet time, but it's not exactly a tiny file. Didn't take any longer then normal if that's the question.

ok finally got the maps, server started perfectly, but i get this error when i go to log in ...

Ya, I get that too. I'll guess for the time being it's the mix of DBs' and information it's a table that's no longer needed and is attempting to load obsolete information. So...unless it's what's causing my realm-loop...I would just ignore it.

If a realm loop is when you click connect to the server and the server selection screen keeps coming back up, then i have that too.

This been the only error i get now, im sure it is whats causing the loop.

Let me know if you get it fixed pls.

I have a suggestion that will be wierd to people who think they are too good to use outdated versions of games. Why dont you perfect Burning crusade mangos server 2.0.6 before updating to 2.0.8 you freaks LOL. Oh and please get your minds off the Mysql Memory thief and Apache. These things serve to do nothing but use up ram. No i cant program but MY LORD STOP WITH MYSQL CRAZE.I know you people are smart enough. I think UWC should be taken further i have UWC 1.3.5 that has hardly no bugs. novel idea... but be realistic...
if you want to use another database..
do it yourself.. and if you cant be bothered..
u just joined the group of ppl that u were picking on...

the reason it was used was for ease of access and sharing...
and also.. the ease in which u could cluster servers using it...
the wowemu method was redundant.. and only availble for 1 server..
and like my own cutom wowemu server..
the more custom stuff u add.. the longer it takes to load..
[at present my wowemu takes 20-20 mins to load]...
alot longer in comparison to mangos.. [30 secs max]...
and in the point of view of stability.. which doesnt really exist..
u want a quick loading server..

im not condone'ing ur opinion..
just try to take all aspects of it into account...

lol, another damn wowemu fanatik. You gotta move with the times, man. Hardly anybody uses WoW 1.8 anymore. And, the newer WoW installation discs that are being sold install WoW as 2.0. So, I have a suggestion for you: You think you can do better, then do it, don't just bitch about it.

Ok dudes you are right. I now finally got mangos 2.0.8 dloaded.I was just aggrevated because i couldnt find a link on it LOL. Anyway i still think you people are smart enough to do this without mysql and apache= memory thieves LOL.Like i said i cant program but will learn and i will say Mangos IS THE VERY BEST.I appreciate everything you are doing and im sorry i insulted.Now as far as Version goes i still think for mangos that the first burning crusade should be perfected before moving on.
