i have had this error for countless times...
i run RegisterGameServer, clean the GS list, generate a new one (ID 99, custom name 'Funserver')
open the hexid (99).txt, copy all inside it, open l2jserver/dist/config/hexid.txt, Ctrl+A, Ctrl+V, save it and close, but whenever i launch the LS&GS, it always says wrong hexid...
i happened to find a lucky hexid once, but then i had 3 GS's, so i decided to clean the list, but now i cant connect...
any ideas on where could i search for the problem?

because it's the same lol
its just a text file, only the content matters, and it doesnt work either way

anyway, i found the problem, the loginserver.properties
# If set to true any GameServer can register on your login's free slots
AcceptNewGameServer = True
that description is delusive, makes you think that ANY gameserver can reg, not only YOUR...

'other server' meaning??
i have only one server (the one on my pc), thats the problem, it shows 2 although i have cleaned the server list and set only one server...

Edit: nope, different name didnt work, and LOL, now i got 3 gameservers... 2 down, 1 mine...

when i said "other server" i mean the server with is down (because im guessing that the prob is that is down) Have you changed the ports of the second gameserver? because both gameserver will have the same ports by default and only one can use the ports.

wtf? can't you read?
i don't have 2 gameservers!!!

i know, i've tried it several times, but it doesn't help
every time i run ls and gs, it creates another gameserver, meaning if i run it 5 times, it creates 5 other gameservers with different names (id=1+) but with the same hexid
i dont understand whats the problem there since i have regged the gs only once
maybe there is a way to lock the gameservers table?
also, there still remains the problem with the incorrect name for "Funserver", it just shows 99? ?? whatever name i put in the servernames list

im now learning the sql, might help me a bit with this later

did you use a patched-edit system

if you mean patched lineage II/system files, then no, i only have nogg and unicode patches there, im not really familiar and don't really want to mess the original files much...
but thats only the minor problem, what about the servers adding?
it just simply adds a gameserver every time i shutdown and launch it again, what is there that i can do to stop it?

First of all your acceptnewgameserver config must be false that is the reason of creating new gameservers after relaunching. Second is that you clean the hexid of the old registry and try to choose the 1 server name then rename the hexid and put it to gameserver configs if you do everything cleanly it should work. And the renaming works too.

alright, thanks, it fixed the additional GS bug...
now the only problem is the incorrect server name 99? ??
if editing the client files is really the only way, which file do i need to edit?
