Hmph. Been a while since I last posted.
Anyways, I'll skip the crap and get to the point. I like playing Xbox, so one day I plop down into my living room, snatch up the controller, and hit the power button. Instantly, the "red ring of death" started flashing on the power button. I was surprised at first, then said, "ok, let me restart it". I waited a couple seconds, then restarted it. I get the red ring every time I turn it on now, but if I restart it, it works. Is there really a problem with my xbox, or is it just a error?

Wow that sucks man, seems like a hardware issue, from what I've heard, this happens a lot due to the Xbox being played for extensive periods of time causing over heating.

post in gaming hotspot, do the towel treatment and it should fix it

Towel treatment is a stupid idea that does more harm then any good.

Anyways how many red lights are there? All 4 or just 3. All 4 means your AV cable is either defective of unplugged from the machine. If it's 3 then the system is dead and you need to contact Microsoft to get it fixed.

NoPeace - out
