I suggest we add a system similar to Facebooks where you can tag users in posts. For example, If I was writing the message "Mithex and I have been working on this new project."; to tag the user Mithex I would write "@Mithex". A drop down list of usernames similar to that one would appear. You would select the correct username and the user would then be tagged in your post. Once you tag a user, the user you tagged would get a notification saying something along the lines of "SoandSo tagged you in a post". Thanks for reading :)

Eh, ragezone has enough downtime. I think this would overload it a bit. Just think about it loading all your friends into that small query. It would flawed.

None the less, +1

Ragezone barely has downtime ,it's simply cloudflare acting up sometimes.

and from reading your post you obviously don't know how this plugin/modification functions, as it doesn't really put a ginormous strain on the server (Unless abused).

I've hosted about... 5? Forums , using vBulletin (starting in 06) , and learned the vbulletin codex within the few months. So i know a bit as to how the whole system works with the forums.

No offense to anyone but its really not that hard to install a plugin for vB unless you're creating it from scratch lol.... Literally takes 5 minutes to install something from the vB mods community.

Actually takes 30 seconds depending on what you're doing (Upload files to FTP, install plugin via forums)

Just looked at the plugin as well, there isn't an option to turn this off for individual users (You would have to program that yourself, unless you buy the Pro version from DBTech and/or download a released version that people who bought it released)

I have a registered vbulletin license (i'm pretty sure Dan does as well) so he CAN just temporarily use the free version, however i'm pretty sure the Professional Version is out on a vBulletin Underground site such as vbTeam and more.
