Just little shards of information I googled for my friend a few days ago. This poop is from the NHS, so don't go flaming me!

Acne Triggers
Teenage acne is thought to be triggered by increased levels of a hormone called testosterone, which occurs during puberty. You're still 19 so there is a chance it could be down to that.

Acne is also thought to run in families. If your parents had acne, it’s likely that you will too. One study has found that if both your parents had acne, you are more likely to get more severe acne at an early age.

Acne In Adults
Apparently 80% of the cases in adults occur with women, so I didn't bother to give any information here as none would apply to you.

Acne Myths
Despite being one of the most widespread skin conditions, acne is also one of the most poorly understood. There are many myths and misconceptions about it, including:
  • "Acne is caused by a poor diet." There is no evidence that diet plays a role in acne. Eating a healthy, balanced diet is recommended because it is good for your heart and your health in general. However, it will not help your acne. This isn't meaning to contradict what the majority of people have been saying - these are just facts, or so I'm lead to believe!
  • "Sexual activity can influence acne." Having sex or masturbating will not make acne any worse or any better. So no need to cut down on the internet porn .
  • "Acne is infectious." You cannot pass acne on to other people and it is not infectious.

Kbye. :):

Alienated - You better calm your Ducking poop down son, or this forum will eat you alive. No one has time for your shenanigans.
Hahahaha, your too funny.. Anyway; CHILDHOOD PRO TIP: as I've said before try everything you can, wash your face regularly and in some severe acne cases, toothpaste seems to work. Just rub it on your blackheads or whatever and wash it off after about 10 minutes.
ps, he's not lying, the forum will actually eat you alive..

Stress is true.. atleast for me it seemed to be the case when I had it. Cleaning your face to much is a mistake everyone makes I think xD

Clearasil or whatever it's called I don't really believe in, never heard anyone say it actually helps, tho it sucks i'd just wait and don't worry much about it, if you're 19 it should stop anytime soon if your hormones triggered it =D

god you are so full of poop. i did not contradict myself anywhere, and it is YOU who always has to prove someone else wrong you Ducking in denial moron, you are denial and arrogance AT ITS BEST, almost every damn reply of yours is to argue with someone else and to prove them wrong it is stupid fuckwads like you who just make my face turn red with anger, just go take a 5 second glance at your posts if you dont believe me. and if anything it is YOU who contradicted himself,

first you say it is the primary cause, and then you say its a contributor. be weary that your stupidity will eventually catch up to you Rishwin and it is slowly starting to already, you cant hide behind that computer screen and "big bad 20+ year old" persona forever

im telling you youre wrong, because you are. get your head out of your butt and stop being so arrogant and realize youre not god and youre not all knowing idiot. notice i said CERTAIN FOODS, MEANING they are an "ADDITIONAL" cause, dont get so excited thinking im a moron like you that doesnt know what im talking about. what is a physical compulsion thats rending? you cant even spell, let alone reach a logical conclusion or argue properly.

no, hormones are NOT an additional cause, they are the PRIMARY cause. science does not lie, dermatologists does not lie, BIOLOGY DOES NOT LIE, according to you, unless youre admitting to contradicting yourself and that science does lie. a 30 year old with acne is nothing like a virgin teenager with raging hormones thinking about sex constantly you Special person they arent even apt comparisons in this case.

now go ahead and reply again, youre only going to make yourself look more retarded, go ahead and dig the hole deeper im amused by how ignorant and arrogant you are. or maybe you should just Grow Up like you claim to be and realize that you are wrong. your first post, and originally your only post clearly was stating that Diet is the SOLE contributor to acne, unless you were just misinforming him on purpose by leaving out the other, more important aspects? either way youre just a basement dwelling 20 something year old who thinks just cuz he hit his 20's means hes some grown up know it all badass. i got news for you, YOU ARE STILL AN ADOLESCENT IN THIS WORLD. stop running around acting like just because youre 20 something you run poop, youre not even 30, you dont know poop all you havent faced any tough times in this world yet to be acting as if youre the supreme being whos been through every hardship there is making you all intelligent over every scenario your pea-sized brain can imagine. perhaps your parents didnt raise you correctly as a child or maybe you just didnt pay attention in school, either way, you are not hot poop Rishwin and you are the definition of Hypocrisy and Arrogance.

My brother, who is 19, early puberty so he is done with that part, have acne. He's getting medication for it, both from pills and special creme which can only be gotten through a doctors note. You shouldn't narrow it down and say that hormones are a primary cause for acne, because that is bullocks all the way through. It DOES help to wash your face twice a day, it DOES help to eat correctly. But it's different for everyone. You're not entirely wrong, but you're disclosing every other possibility. There is a thousand treatments and they all work differently on different people, because it's not the same thing triggering it with everyone.

Visit your your friendly nei.. urm, dermatologist. Getting advice on a forum full of raging teenagers and trolls won't pretty up your face, darling.

Acne is a poly-aetiological condition, raging over what's more primary is... kind of silly for a common forum dweller and is better left for the men and women with degrees in medicine.

You pretty much summed it all up in your post. Creme - must be prescribed by your doctor as it has these things in it which can't be sold in Pharmacists unless with a doctors note (as it's mainly some sort of acid which helps bring them down eventually clearing them) so yeah, you got it all right.

My friends face is bombarded with acne for being too sporty and the last time I ask them about how to cure acne they told me I'm being a faggot :glare:

Well somehow I was hoping in this forum loaded with different people would have the same problem as me, And also there are no nearby dermatologist in our place.

Lastly is it true that rubbing a lemon would remove or lessen blackheads and acne?

That is only because he isn't cleaning his face properly after sweating, which can also be a cause to acne. But sweating also helps clean out the skin, as long as you wash it afterwards.

The nasty part about acne is that it may cause encephalitis (if the pustules are of infectious origin, and if it's those buggers Staphylococci), it's a rather unpleasant thing. I won't go on into details.

And what do you mean there's no dermatologist in the area? Just see your GP or a local shaman or something.

Before seeking a remedy, know the origin of what ails you. Because you just might wander off into a minefield, so to say.

We don't use GP's in our country. Honestly I really don't have any idea why I'm getting acne and blackheads the time I got 19 years old, my sister and cousins never had any facial problem and what intrigues me more is how they never got this kind of problems when in fact they are more involve on doing a lot of stuff outdoor compared to me who stays a lot more indoor.

Shouldn't puberty end at 18?

No GPs, no dermatologists in the area, running out of options. Just what kind of doctors there are in the area?

I am no dermatologist (nor will be, mind you; maybe an endocrinologist, in the future, but that's irrelevant), so I can't really give any sound advice. Side note regarding siblings: Some argue that there's a genetic predisposition to just about any condition, some deny it, so, meh.
Though, getting enough sunlight sort of contributes to a clean face.

Still, you better pay a visit to a doctor.

Also, the age of reaching puberty may vary, on average it's 18 for males.

A lot of males hit puberty at the age of 12-13 and are fully grown by the age they are 18 but the ages vary within different people. Justin Bieber is a prime example, he hadn't hit puberty until he was 16 and he's still growing. Acne is a problem for a lot of teenagers such as yourself and surprisingly adults. If you don't have a General Practitioner in your area or a dermatologist, then you're going to have to consult a specialist at a hospital or whatnot. You've got to be patient also, getting rid of acne takes a while and don't be surprised if it doesn't make an unexpected appearance in life again when you're a tad bit older.

See a dermatologist and get a prescription face cream and wash... it's worth it.

I did that when I was younger... I had outbreaks until I was around 16 or so.

My doctor prescribed epiduo along with a few other scrubs for both face and body.

Okay so.. blackheads have nothing to do with dirt?, And acne has sweet duck all to do with your diet/sleep/stress/drinking/etc yeah it probably will look worse if you go out partying or eat poop and don't get duck all sleep but no poop so would the guy with no acne.

Its just clogged pores.. don't go scrubbing the poop out of your face either you'll just make it worse just clean your face every now and then with soap or something, no offence but you're probably an oily person or its in your family to get clogged pores etc.. you probably sit there like I used to and popped the poop out of them and get the long butt wormy blackheads out of your face but this is bad because your hands are oily..

Just leave your face alone.. only touch it when you're washing it or applying some cream.. but it's not like you don't know how to clean yourself its just your body and how its poop at dealing with this ;)

I'm no expert but I'll give it a try.
We both live in the tropics so I think I can give you some advice.
-Use a towel, I have seen a lot of people remove their sweat by sweeping their dirty hands on their face.
-Always clean your face twice a day, every morning and night. With our changing weather, sweat can dry up on your face and leave lots of dirt eventually enter your pores.
-I'm not really sure about this, but some say Dr. Kaufman soap can help you with some skin problems like having zillions of pimples on your back.
