I'm looking to buy a fairly decent gaming pc for around $1000. Can anyone build me one off this site?

I'm sure those guides are outdated by now, havn't checked if they have been updated recently though.

Guides are outdated and you should take a look at the Intel Core 2 Duos they are better processors and at the end of July they will drop in price again.

Aside from that the system looks solid though I would suggest getting a better graphics card if you can afford the extra $50 for a 8600 GTS. If not wait until the Radeon HD 2600 XT comes out. It's a better card then the 8600 GT.

It depends on what computer you are making, if a server then you need double specs as the normal one.

Get acouple screws and a screw driver, buy all the stuff... and then just screw where it needs to be screwed and there you go! Have fun with your new ULTRA SWEET/SLEEK GAMING COMPUTER!

And what planet are you on? If you don't need a monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers then sure you can.

EVGA 680i SE - $150
2GB DDR2-800 Cosair - $100
e6600 - $200
500gb HDD - $125
Case - $100
PSU - $100
8800GTS 320mb - $300

Total: $1075

Sure it's just over but you can get slower RAM for $60 and a smaller HDD for $80. Then you'll be under the $1k mark.
