Today i was annoyed that i couldnt write local accent characters while playing the game so i decided to change fonts.
First of all the locale of the game is set to either Kor or thai (its a thai client, DUH!) so i hexxed the exe-file and changed the locale references of Kor and thai to eng.
It still didnt work so i googled a bit and found a thread here about this issue, it seems there are font files called someting like fnt_µ¸¿òü_12.wft etc. Lucky for me i downloaded the Tomahawk client and unpak'ed the integrated pak file cause inside it there is some font files called "Arial.wft" and "Tahoma12.wft". A quick repak and QuickPatch to add the pak. I changed the .wft referenced inside my exe to the names i just wrote and violá.
My special characters now work.
