Editing HyperText Icons - Now not showing

I edited a few hypertext icons to make them different colours etc. Now they do not show in inventory as an icon. Is there a way you need to edit them to work properly?

save em as bmp file.

save em as bmp file.

They were already saved as BMP. I had to open them with another program such as paint and resave as BMP. for some reason it didnt like the BMP from the other program.
