I start up my server and everything seems normal, but when I try to connect to it with the localhost client that I hex edited nothing happens. No connection is shown and the window just stays like this (VPS):
stephyderp - Help please. Connection Problems. - RaGEZONE Forums

Also I get this (my own desktop):
stephyderp - Help please. Connection Problems. - RaGEZONE Forums

How do I fix this? I honestly don't know what's wrong.

well that issue is now fixed but the only thing that changed is that a connection shows on the vps but still the client doesn't connect. I still get the server check message

For some reason, your VPS is blocking the connection.

How does opening port 80 help. I'm just curious because port 80 is website and I'm pretty sure you don't need port 80 for server to work.

If its a windows 2008 you'd have to manually port forward the ports
login 8484,7575,etc..

You don't need ports forwarded for server to be online. I run test server on my computer and none of ports are forwarded
