Yeah, I tried this and tried recompiling, good thing I backed up the files I edited. This just causes tons of errors.

You're turning a string into an integer that means you have to look for all instances of the variable and look at any data you set into them integers don't hold string values (strings are defined by double quotation marks " ). Anyway he explained it in his blog NillusDotNet

I'm planning on developing a stabler Holograph - or even experimenting with Nillus' Ion framework (which is now getting more popular)

It _does_ work for Holograph - if you can't fix the String-Int errors, then why are you running a retro

I believe the exploit allowed people to gain access to the server's database, I'm not sure what other things could be exploited with those though.

Once you have access to the database, pretty much everything can be exploited.

It gives you the ability for MySQL Queries (changing room names, user ranks - basically everything)

Patch it and your sorted.
