Hi,

You may notice that there are some green or red blocks in the left panel by all your details, this is known as the reputation system. We are currently testing it to see if it can be used fairly and equally without users abusing this new added item. The reputation system is not a system to replace "likes" as generally you may like a post because of its humorous or helpful nature but you can also leave reputation for the help/contribution or negative reputation for trolls, this should identify troublesome members.

Notes;

  • You can give a maximum of 20 + or - reps out per day.
  • You'll need to send at least 10 + or - reps out before giving it to the same person again.
  • For every year registered you'll get +1 additional reputation power.
  • For every 1000 posts you'll get +1 additional reputation power.
  • For every +100 reputation points you'll get another +1 reputation power.
  • You need at least 5 posts to issue a reputation that can + or - a users current reputation.
  • Users below 200 posts cannot hide their reputation (Unless you are a subscriber) but users above 200 posts can hide it if they wish to do so.
  • All users can see who left your reputation in your control panel.
  • If you click the reputation button
    reputation.gif
    you can see how many points you currently have or how many you got for that post (or you can visit your control panel).
Reputation power is how many points you can give to a person per + or - reputation issued. There is a maximum of +1000 or -1000 points that a person can collect. Since we are currently testing therefore expect to see more changes to it over the next few days. Rep power and your overall points are two different things. The green blocks are an indication of your overall points whilst power is how many you can distribute (as mentioned previously).

Thanks.
