Considering car sound systems are designed for compact spaces like cars you cab get far better systems designed for the home...

It's about the sound i already got these things away, i use my homecinema system again this was just to have some nice bass, having a subwoofer on a amplifier makes the bass alot better then using a homecinema, i now use the subwoofer on my homecinema, that black thing you see in my TV cabinet.

FYI you could have always bought a good sub woofer with LFE support for your home cinema instead of rigging car stuff. And yes it does look like crap. A big pile of crap... Also it's called over kill. Bigger is not always better, especially for a home theater.

I guess that's your oppinion. I love to have lots of bass and if you don't then dont comment something like that, i have bass yes, but my sound is harder then my bass, and that's the point. you have not even heard the sound system and like i said before, i have this subwoofer on my home cinema and it works great. Bigger is always better believe me, if you have a crappy sound system with max 100 watts rms or even less, yea i'm sorry then i gotta say bigger is better. ;)

And well, this subwoofer looks good inside my house, just don't look at the things on the ground cause they are gone already. the only thing i have now is that subwoofer and my homecinema speakers.

Bigger is not always better. We have a sub smaller than that thing and they whole system works on -20. Anything louder and it starts moving things in our neighbours houses....

Then what do you think my subwoofer can do? move nothing around?

You know there is a huge diffrence on bass... Little subwoofers are good for movies ect. but subwoofers like this lets you hear the bass and feel the bass, low frequency bass cannot be heard by subwoofers below 100-50 watts rms, A bigger subwoofer can.

It's about what you like..

But gotta say you got a pretty nice system there.

AFAIK, the size does matter. I'm comparing a subwoofer with my bass drum. I have read an article about this a while ago. The bigger my bass drum is, the "louder" the bass will sound. I am definitely not a specialist on this one, however, it has to do with the amount of air you can move. A bigger base has got a higher sound volume than a smaller one. It also sounds more clear.

But, right now I'm not including the amount of Hz or the amount of watts the subwoofer can produce. The size does matter, but I am not quite sure if the statement "the bigger, the better" is true. I'm definitely not an expert.

Okay kid? FYI, I'm an audiophile. I've probably spent more money on one speaker then your entire system. My main home theater pushes about 1400 RMS and my car woofer alone is 1500 RMS. I can rest assure you that any woofer over 200 RMS is over kill for a HTS, especially if you properly calibrate it. Otherwise the bass will drown out anything else you want to hear.

Also, louder is not better. Try cranking up the ohms and running it with less power and having clear sounds. Personally I like to have my bass nice as crisp with a kick instead of this overbearing vibration, but then again that might be too much for a kid to understand.

Don't call me a kid, i dont think a kid can own a house, anyway i believe you when you say that you have spend more money on those things then i did. I'm not trying to fight with you, i'm just saying that i love alot of bass. but yes my subwoofer is 250 watts rms, it aint that much i'd rather have a another subwoofer, but that is not possible in this house cause i have neightbours. just stop this discussion, i just like the things i have and it was not my oppinion to start a discussion with you guys.

You're not a kid?

Basic Information

Date of Birth
August 14, 1990 (24)

Yup.... You are a kid. Owning your own house doesn't make you not a kid. Do you know how many 18 year old international students in the city of Boston that own their own apartments? Daddy's wallet is much deep.

If you are not a "kid" then try not acting like one. It's not hard to use write more clearly.... Also brag less about what you have...

Im sorry, im confused.

so why would you make a public thread if you didn't want a discussion?

Because he is a kid and wants to brag. It's not that confusing. Discussions require too much brain power.

I just wanted to show something i'm happy with. i didn't think people would act like this.

It's the internet kid.... Act like a kid and you will be treated like a kid.

dude, its ragezone.

+1 :D::thumbup:

I have no words... I suspect this whole thread is just a troll.

I think I like the way you think.
