since many are looking for an Arcturus Server Guide with video i decided to post this one. i found it few months ago and i just have the time now to post it. Hope you will like it ^^

Tested on: Windows Xp with Net Framework 3.5 installed.


Please follow all steps below in order to make your server works:


STEP 1

[File] Download Microsoft SQL Server 2000 w/ service pack 8:

where can you find that version of mssql? I looked all over and can't find it.

You don't have to use 2000, 2010 works just fine with arcturus. I know it works because that's what I use, and setting up is almost 100% the same. If you can't find something in 2010 just do some trial and error, or just look around in the program and you will find it.

when using sql server 2005 i get a lot of errors. some of these errors are:

The files "SHO_MALL.txt" is not in the rar archive
EDIT: the link at the bottom of the page is a different archive than the one at the top of the page
EDIT: but it still doesnt have the same files in the tutorial

I ran all of the sql queries successfully as shown in the videos but I can't even get my login server to connect to db. I'm running it on the same machine that hosts the sql server and using ip 127.0.0.1

sql is in express 2005 version

any help ?

what causes that and how can i fix it ?

I changed all the ODBC settings to the correct tables in the db like mentioned in a previous post. But the login server still hangs, no messages

i know and i can see, you're pro on setting up a server in rose online. i have been trying to setup an Arcturus private server for 3 days now, but i was not successful.

im using microsoft sql 2012, windows 7 64bit.
i dont know where to start, i open "sql server management studio" and played around whith SHO database. fkin mess.

cant find any tutorial who uses windows 7 and microsoft sql 2012. can u help me or just give me the basic steps bro? thnx a lot! appreciate it much!

Use the files it asks, etc ... mssql 2000 there is not much secret in windows 7, the difference is that you have to open certain programs in administrator mode!
