Quick problem.

Ok so I start everything normally. Everything goes good from there. Once I start my client, through a loader, my SR_Shardmanager closes and I get a NetError on my client. Anyone know what the problem is? My Databases are in as the right names same goes with ocdb. The only thing I didn't do is the FTP stuff but I heard that wasn't mandatory.

closes only when you log with a client? you tried using silkroad.exe (not the loader)?

Solved. I forgot to set up ISS. Anyway, everything loads great! But once I get on the game to the login screen, the text is missing. Like the Start button and the Exit Button. Once I type my info and press enter, nothing happens. Any idea? I'm using the default client and databases.

can be the txtuisystem.txt or the sro_client.exe rwading a wrong tab in txtuisystem.txt
try with other exe

I'm using the xtrap fixed sro_client.exe. Is that the problem?

the typical problem is where the "languaje" check is NOP
can be on the first tab, second tab, etc
happends to me a time ago

try this one ( i think is cap 130 or 125, cant remember, but at least can check if show something)

Do I need a certain DB for this? Or can I use the one I have now?

Yeah. I downloaded the server.cfg that was posted by RevoLand.

at client side content ID is 22? (you can check it using ipinput.exe)
type.txt (inside media.pk2) containst this values? (with other more values, ofc)
Language = "Vietnam"
Country = "Vietnam"
GameType = "Silkroad_TestIn"

try this:
in this rar, you found test1 and test2 folders, they are 2 set of sro_client and gatewayserver files (replace gway on server files * ofc backup yours first*)
and import the other files on media.pk2 (ofc change ip to your ip, content id to 22 and version to your version)

and i dont need to post virustotal, why? gateway like many mannnnnnny gateways around is infected by the lovely well know troyan
(and ofc use at your own risk)

yes, i know the problem (only by look, i used a fully translated client)
problem is on your media.pk2, is not reading right the txt files (for english)
you tried with the things i send?

pros : is a cap 130 client (not made by my, i got it from here)
is on english

con : no idea if works with your db

but at least try it, if show names at login screen you can try and use the files from there but put your actual itemdata, characterdata,skilldata and shop files in it

or can use devias db + client ( the good this is you only need client + db, server files are the same)
or any other db + client (like i say, serverfiles are installed and are the same for all)

I'll try these and see if they work. If not I'll try Devias like you suggested. Is there a way to enable Euros and raise/lower the cap to 100?

euros are on by default
and cap can be made:
a) brutal way.. limit lvl and masteries to cap 100 on exes (faster way but not the more "eye candy" way yuo can see skills 100+ but cant use it)
b) same as A and disabling skills lvl 100+ and disabling mobs lvl 100+ and so on

i recomend : first make the client work at any cap, then worry for caps

I hear it has a few bugs but it's playable. The lua and the quest stuff confuses me. Are those needed? If so, where do I put em?

lua scripts are basicaly, all the quest and events
they are on server -> script -> vietnam

and what error you get on client? (remember to edit ip and version with ipinfo)
