How to set up a Remote Mu Editor :
Ok , go in your Controle Panel , Administrative Tools , Data Sources (ODBC).
After go System DNS and go to Add , Select SQL Server and press Ok
Name : MuOnline
Description : MuEditor
Server : Ip's of the server (host of Muserver)
Select With SQL Server Authentification using a login ID and Password
entered by user


Login ID : sa
Password : SQL Password

Now we have to setting up Mu Editor

Go on your Mu Editor Folder and take DNS.ini
on it you'll find
[MuOnline]
DSN=MuOnline
User=sa
Password=xxxxx

put the SQL Password after Password=

and Run Mu Editor :)

You can download MuEditor 2.1c Skyteam with 99 item

on my config you don't need port, only sql auth and it ok

dam i cant connect to the sql...
ut tells that the sql server dont exist or eccess denied.

what i need to set in the server so it will not deny my connection
i checked twice the login in the SQL server and change it twice to the pass i need to use - but still it say i can conect

oww i fix it ... it was only to put the editor at D:\muserver ... ^^ thx for it

forgot to tell dont try to hack our SQL because in the DNS.ini the password is fake hehe :p we are smart ^^

u have to remember to enable the properly network protocols in enteprise manager to be enable to listen to odbc port..

and also make sure the server is doesnt block incomming odbc connections.

some of u are gonna get hacked if u do this though lol, make sure to change your sa password before you do this, or better yet make a new account with an 12 number password :p and change it every week

Okay. I get how to set it up on teh remote comoputer, but how do you prep the server to allow the ocdb connections?
