Same method to get checksum as any other version. Startup server with some random checksum set, connect to it with your client you wish to use it will disconnect you with connection lost with authentication server error. Flush the authserver log and look at the log for the checksum it recorded you just tried to use, enter that into server config.

can some of you ppl that really have some ideea about row servers , where is this error coming from and what do i have to fix ? otherwise everything is going fine till now except for this tiny thing ...

this information does provide enough evidence

so is there a real answer more then "smart answers" . it is obious that i understud ther eis a problem in some "filter" setting .... i looked in auth server and the only filter i found was the WordFilter script
demonsetup is ok (i think) since i dont get any "failed to login/acces/we or auth initialisation error"
is that "filter" in the auth server that bothers me .... can anyone tell me how to fix that or WHAT to look for in order to fix/setup ?

Right, errors out when executing InsertChar SP. so look into that.

i think the sql2005 problem that have some error to create char
i use the sql2000 is success to create char with same database
but in sql2005 can not create it

user error ^^ works fine for me in MS SQL 2005

About the clients, you can use higher versions but once u get above 1.0.2.2 your really risking the client not matching up with the server. Meaning more errors or crashes when you try to do things due to the server version code wanting to accept different values.

If you want to create a 100% server use 1.0.2.0 client. If you want buggy mounts (yes they were bugged up to hell at this time) use 1.0.2.2 or newer. You can convert the gcmds and copy the charevent ect which does fix some of the bugs i would think, but some of it is most likely raw in the client. There was issues with mounts in the water and mounts sliding if i remember correctly.

Ok i got it to work i had to put ,1433 after the ip address in the RYL Server config and after i did that all the DB came up


ok next question/problem is login to my server i edited the login.dat like the guide said and i have checked my Db servers that to make sure they all say connected. The Row game server the LOGserver is not connected on all zones, not sure if that is how it is or if i need to fix that on the RowLoginServer is has Clients server Closed gives my ip and ver 1022 ADMIN_ONLY. so i am not sure any input would be great

or you could just setup mssql/native client to use 1433 instead of dynamic ports which it does by default

i did that but it did not help lol i had to tell it in the server config, no sure why but i did check that and it has 1433 for the port and i left it blank so i would not use dynamic ports oh well on to my other problem of not being able to long in the server

did you try to right click your login server icon in taskbar and choose "connect -> allow connect" ?

yeah login open on servercontroller doesn't work on row files, and as arpakuutio said leaves all console windows open

use the visual studio event watcher to find the window hide code, edit it in the server controller and recompile. Voila, done.
