My question: Is it a necessity for Habbo?

I use .PNG, then make the background transparent. Is that good enough?

Also, I'm extending the time on when these should be done. I had a tumbling rally today that I totally forgot, so all the badge (above this post) will be completed by early morning tomorrow!

Ah, so I would have to do that then.
When I try to make the background transparent my editor won't allow it because it says it's an animation. Any idea?

Well i Aint the Best Pixel Artist But i Have Seen Animated Gifs You Can Try Saving it As a Png And then Use some Online Image Converter Convert it to GIF And Hopefully it still should be animated And work

Also, about the .gif; PNG can be used unless you custom the background and make it transparent, which is what I am doing pixel for pixel on these badges, also there are no long term pixel errors with .png as long as it's hosted.

Spent all morning making badges, saving them as .png and loading and deleting...

Time extended, I have to redo all of the badges because of the discoloration.. Sorry guys, I promise to have them soon.. I'll start posting in the morning, it's 4 am.

.GIF are transparent images, they defo are . Try GIMP or photoshop (if you have it), i know they save images as transparent gifs
