Setting up a Mir2 Server: A Noob Guide

please someon will list the few places that IP need not be 127.0.0.1 and need to be the www IP to get it online
I know not all need changing but do not know which ones do

Lilcooldude created a good guild to setting up the server, but left a few n00b things out, so here is the noob guide.

Credit for basic guide goes to lilcooldude.

Setting up the files (offline):

1. download the server files from here

You must be registered to see links

2.) Extract the files to C:/mirserver, it's the only way this guide will work.
2a.) got to your legend of mir folder
c:/program flies/wemade/legend of mir
right click on the map folder and click copy.
Go to your m2server folder
c:/mirserver/m2server
and paste the map folder into here.

3.) Check the following files to make sure they have the correct IP (127.0.0.1), the correct directories (C:/mirserver/

Okay i seem to have made progress. Open the gates, dont see any problems, i open the exe. The login screen pops up and im over the moon because i think ive done it. I create a new account, no problems. I login No problem. I make a char....SH*T

nothing appears and yes i have waited like 50secs

i try again and i get an error username is taken or gamemaster has blocked.

So i close down the game and then my Dbserver comes up with this error

ok lol new problem,

ive set up my server + it runs, but ive got a db problem not sure what to do.

whenever u log off it forgets all the spells ive learnt, and i get this error in DBserver.exe window

[UserItem] Error Inserting magic char:emp Magicindex:3

any help on how to fix it ?

Can i use sum1 elses client to do the mir.ini then save it to mir2.ini ????? lyk add all the servef files do all that then use there mir2.ini and just change the ips ?
