Found this around the net, just thought I'd share.

--------------------------------

Perhaps one of the most interesting and colorful words in the English language today is the word "duck". It is the one magical word which, just by its sound, can describe pain, pleasure, love, and hate. "duck" falls into many grammatical categories. It can be used as a verb, both transitive (John fucked Mary) and intransitive (Mary was fucked by John). It can be an action verb (John really gives a duck), a passive verb (Mary really doesn't give a duck), an adverb (Mary is Ducking interested in John), or as a noun (Mary is a terrific duck). It can also be used as an adjective (Mary is Ducking beautiful) or an interjection (duck! I'm late for my date with Mary). It can even be used as a conjunction (Mary is easy, duck she's also stupid). As you can see, there are very few words with the overall versatility of the word "duck".

Completely untrue. As with almost all of the words we know today, "duck" did not originate from an Acronym - It evolved from an ancient language, namely Latin, German or Greek.

The myth that "poop" comes from the acronym for "Ship High In Transit" is also completely untrue. Although the basis behind the use of that phrase is true.

We can't be that sure, though I believe it is not originated from a acronym.

From the video above it says from German. "Frichen" that means; to strike.

Anyway, duck Ducking fuckers.
