How hard would it be to make it to where it can access a 3rd database. IE characters. Im running the newest mangos with the 3db version and all tools like this all are setup for 2db. Wouldnt it be possible to add a character db into the configuration and if it is the 2db version you would just put mangos there too but if you have 3db like I do you can link it to the 3db? Just a thought.

no, i'm supporting only OFFICIAL MaNGOS.
And anyway the 3DB build is a useless thing as with my software you can safely backup and restore the accounts/characters tables (all the needed including guilds and auction_house) with a simple click. (go in the DB management area to see what i'm talking about and tell me if it's all ok for you. )

Posted Revision 102 on the UPDATER SYSTEM (there is no release, you must update) :

1 - Added a Multi-Threaded system on the executing script part of the DB Management. This way you can control the executing of the instructions (with pause or stop) and you can see the progress correctly.

All who can, update because it's a really good new feature.

1 - Added the fully completed character_spell handler.
2 - Done some optimizing at the character.cs code.
3 - Fixed Character deletion from the character screen and added the character_stable to the deletion from the account screen.

1 - Hopefully fixed a bug that can REMOTELY occur while exporting accounts/characters.

Posted Revision 105 with these changes from Revision 104 :

1 - Added the command -s to execute a script on the database Mangosd and a ShellExtension to do the same just with a Double Click on the SQL file.
2 - Fixed some ItemPrototype on the items page according to the latest MaNGOS Revision.

READ THE NOTES :
This version include a new ShellExtension and need to be installed CLEARLY with the INSTALLSHIELD installer available on the Official Webpage. A simple update WILL NOT ALLOW you to gain advantage of the new ShellExtension.

Btw we have installed it on the server where it work quite well, then I installed on my personal system using the ip of the server in the config.ini files.

But it doesnt seems to work.

I've also modified the rest of the content of this file to allow the connection to our server but it doesnt seems to find the host :/

Have you tried to use directly the IP address of the machine instead of a hostname?
Is the MySQL configured for allowing remote ROOT access?

I uninstalled version 103, and installed version 105. Now I get an error message that my configuration is incorrect, even though it is the same as in version 103. Any ideas why that might be?

Are you sure it's the same and it was working?
Because i haven't changed ANYTHING in the startup process and in the database connection. (remember that after a new installation the config.ini file get resetted and you have to configure it once again.)

It was a short between the keyboard and the chair. The Mangos DB did not update properly. The SQL import ended prematurely and I didn't catch it. Once redone, V105 worked as expected. Sorry for the trouble.

Yes to both, the config.ini as been verified twice.

I still get this message :

Your configuration file is wrong, modify your options.

If there is a router, its configured to forward the mysql port?

if it says that error in less than a sec then the host is unreachable.
I think you should forward the port 3306 (MySQL port) on the firewall/router. Then it should work.

P.S. If anyone want an anticipation...i'm working on a multi-language feature and today when i return from university i'll try to finish.

Hi Feal. An issue and features request.

The issue is with the item browser. Some items prompt an invalid index message. The ones I remember offhand are the High Warlord items. However, items in ID sequence before and after do not have this issue. I'm not sure if this is an issue with the program or the db.

The feature requests are: (1) the ability to copy an existing item, but the action actually adds the item at the end of the db the last ID sequence. (2) the ability to export and import custom items as a backup.
