What is this?
Yeah I made this a while back to test out the 'Blunk' framework which is a kind of 'FUSE' written by Mike (office.boy off scriptomatic) and me.
It's in Java and it's mainly a central environment with variables and what I call a 'highlevel database', you can easily write multiple database implementations (eg, SQL, XML, flat files) for your application by just adding classes etc.
Blunk is much more improved these days but this was a quick tryout of the system before we started working on it for another project, so expect this to be a bit messy at some points etc. :D:

Anyway...
This is a server emulator for Mobiles Disco written in Java, and the default database implementation is a SQL one. (MySQL, but there are PostgreSQL drivers out in Java aswell)
It's like fully functional and supports having multiple room instances that you can add in the database, and there are some 'IRC style' commands like /spaces and /join <spacename> to move to other spaces where you can chat and move around and do whatever more. :/:

Feel free to use Blunk or the Mobiles Disco server aslong as you keep the original 'banner' that shows up when you start either a project with the Blunk framework or the one that shows up when starting Mobiles Disco server.
You can digg up the client somewhere on the net, use Google.

How to use?
This comes with source only so you'll need to compile it by yourself, use either the Java compiler from the JDK ('javac') or install the Eclipse IDE so you can work on it by yourself.
It was mainly a test for Blunk and I thought it would be nice to release it to you guys aswell.

There's a .jar for the MySQL driver in the source archive, copy it to the 'external library folder' of your Java installation, on my Windows pc this is:
C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_03\lib\ext
If you skip this step, the server will be unable to locate the driver for the MySQL connection.
Also be sure to configure db_sql.properties with your SQL details etc.

Blunk might look abit clumsy at first sight but I hope you learn to use it.
Have fun & enjoy. :):

Where the hell can I download it?

Can I see some pictures?
Ofcourse you dirty habboon.

You can use 'chat commands' to move your way around in the spaces

Multi user stuff is always kickass eh

NOTE: Do NOT bother me with questions or trying to get it running etc, I think I have been clear enough now that this was a private project that I release to you people in the hope that it might be useful, it's no precompiled habboon-safe pack.
I am NOT responsible for any stuff in anyway and any jew in any cage can say anything, I'm not helping you with setting it up or supplying binaries and whatever more.

Steal my limelight will you? Rawrrrrrrrrrr.

Nice I never got this to run java seems to **** brix on my machine but the structure is all their (12 LOGIN DipShit beep //Login username password etc anyway nice release I'll try to make this work again later if eclipse will run.

It's nice, but such a server with almost no functions isn't nice :p
It covers all functions Mobiles Disco used to have, and more than any Mobiles Disco server released public.
Mobiles Disco was never a 'real' game. ;P

Meepmeepmeep!
I wrote this thing like in the end of January methinks, and when I showed it you on #som irc you wanted to do a Mobiles Disco server as well! :D

And I REALLY recommend you to do some generic message parser class like in this one, as it shortens your code to a few lines!
The biggest client>server message in MobilesDisco is REGISTER, and this server wraps it all up in this snippet.

All the other 'requesthandlers' are no more than two or three lines for each of them.
PHP:
package net.nillus.mobilesdisco.communication.requests;

import com.blunk.communication.ClientMessage;
import com.blunk.communication.ClientRequestHandler;
import com.blunk.communication.CommunicationHandler;

public class LOGIN implements ClientRequestHandler
{
	public void handle(ClientMessage msg, CommunicationHandler comm)
	{
		String name = msg.nextArgument();
		String password = msg.nextArgument();

		comm.Login(name, password);
	}
}

PHP:
package net.nillus.mobilesdisco.communication.requests;

import net.nillus.mobilesdisco.spaces.SpaceUser;

import com.blunk.communication.ClientMessage;
import com.blunk.communication.ClientRequestHandler;
import com.blunk.communication.CommunicationHandler;

public class Dance implements ClientRequestHandler
{
	public void handle(ClientMessage msg, CommunicationHandler comm)
	{
		SpaceUser usr = comm.getSpaceInstance().getUser(comm.clientID);

		if(usr != null)
		{
			usr.removeStatus("dance");
			usr.addStatus("dance", null);
			usr.requiresUpdate = true;
		}
	}
}

Whereas your code would not only be ugly, but also hard to read etc! :):
Look in the thing better Jordan, do not re-invent the wheel all the time.
Loveee youuu. xx

LOL made me fucking LOL :D

Anyway didn't get round to working out why SQL was errorinh in java even though the driver is in the app due and the ext and lib of the jre.

Anyway I tides up my code and managed to fix the error with sending data to the client 8) on the topic of #som
Is the irc server down again?

Also I second the mtion of woodpecker.nillus.net visit naow.

Baibai also iphone keyboard fails when typing more than a line or two.

before i download is it compiled into an .exe or is it java native?
To be very honest I don't know how to compile my java software to windows executables, it just compiles to .class files which are being ran in the JVM.
And since there's a JVM for like all platforms = it runs on all platforms.
So why would you want a .exe? (windows-only)

Nice Work Nillus =P
I would like to start today with an RealBasic Mobiles Disco Server for my Rebbo Project ^^

I really need this, thanks!
