Evening all.

Just thought I would post a link to a site called Dreamspark.

Dreamspark is a website run by Microsoft offering developer tools, such as Windows Server 2008 R2 and Visual Studio 11 Professional Beta.

I am able to get some DreamSpark invitation codes, if you educational establishment is not available.

Hope I have helped a few people save a bit of money.

Note: You must be a student with an email address from your institution, or, if you're school/college/university isn't available, contact me.

I got a serial off them for Server 08r2, if I remember correctly you have to download through a MS downloader application which ended up stuffing up for me twice and was pretty piss poor speeds for me.

Also grabbed Windows 7 Ultimate 'upgrade' & MS Office 2010 Professional from Sigroup free.

The speeds on DreamSpark aren't too bad, if you download it through their download manager. Using a browser like Safari where it downloads using the browser's DM can suck a bit. IE is your best bet, for obvious reason.

MSDNAA has all the good stuff. Only bad part is your school has to be signed up for it

If you can convince them to sign up you get access to legit serials of just about everything. Ms does to windows 8, all editions of server software, etc etc.

I remember getting my Visual Studio 2010 Express off that site
Done that by using a friend's email.

Its a good thing you posted this, actually! I remember sometime last year someone made a post on it, but it was never well brought up then by the community on Ragezone. Very important program run by Microsoft, just make sure no one abuses it by selling off keys and all that jazz!

True, I am not here to sell anything, just to give access to students who may not be able to otherwise
