Considering the background you chose, everything else does not fit well with it.
I'm sure if your design/color choice were used in a different way (layout/background), it would have looked better.
Also, as people above have said, if you can't concentrate don't force yourself too.

well mate, if you can't do your work good enough because you broke with your girlfriend than my friend, you need to fix that. Later when you get a job you can't make a bad work because you broke with your wife.

on-topic:

background doesn't fit the design ( the character sprites are re-sized, we can see alot of pixels.)
I like the navigator but you have a break-line between the 1st 2 HOMEs and the rest is missing ;o Don't know if you did it on purpose.
Between the Navigator and the content you could add a Logo since there is alot of blank space to be filled with something.
The copyright is really bad, you will never see a website with a copyright with that kind of fonts man, change it to improe your design.
