to run as asdministrator
and
do as it's here

I noticed when I was playing around with settings in the LMSConfig.DAT, The database user needs to be added. This was not in the guide but their are lots of guides on how to use mssql server and set user permissions for databases. I used the default sa, "super adminsitrator" and the password i created at time of mssql Server installation.

I would log in to MSSQL with the user and password that you set in order to confirm it is working.

Until you can log into the Database your auction server will not function and the world server will not start without errors.


Also I agree this server works and we need a development Section so we can continue to grow and share.

You have to use SQL Server driver.

I hope you ran start_max.bat file. If that's not a truth then fix it.

It looks like correct. What is a version of ODBC and your operation system you using?

If you're using x64 version then change all settings in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe and System DSN.
