Been fiddling with Untouched V3, fixing and updating things. I noticed that when i'm at the safezone and buying things from the trader - some consumable items return with "Operation failed". Upon further investigating I found that it also throws operation failed in the vault, when moving the consumables from my inventory to the vault and vice versa.

Also - it doesn't return "Operation failed" every time, it will do it a bunch and then randomly it will complete the operation.
No issues actually consuming these items, moving them around within my character inventory does not throw errors, just when its from character to vault, or trader to character.

It appears to only do it with Bandages, Antibiotics, and Painkillers.
Other consumable items such as Bandage DXs, Medkits, Vaccines, and food items do not have any issues.
Nothing appears in r3dlog regarding the failure.

Any help would be appreciated.

Solution
This problem occurs with stacked items. Check FN_IsItemStackable in the database.
Seems like this would likely be the issue, as FN_IsItemStackable is not in my db. I will fix this and test.

Edit: Its 4:53am and I need sleep, I was looking in the wrong part of programmability lol, I found it, modifying and testing now

Checked FN_IsItemStackable, everything looks correct.
usable cat is 28, which corresponds correctly to the itemslist.

While poking around the itemslist, I noticed that some Clipsizes for the consumables are 1 and others are 5. Not sure if thats the problem, but i'll test it later today and find out. Thanks for the point in...

use Debug mode in your Visual Studio
Check this, or you are performing actions inside obj_PostBox

You can also compare all the IDs of the items, maybe something differs in the code.

Building in debug crashes the game due to rogue textures, I don't have the patience to fix that problem right this second lol.

I checked the itemsDB vs the db and everything matches as far as values and identifiers go. As far as postbox, I assume you are referring to the vault at safezone? (i havent touched this game in 15 years so im EXTREMELY rusty) If you are referring to the vault, yes I am experiencing the "Operation failed" on the vault as well as the general store.

This is what I assume is getting thrown upon purchasing bandages / painkillers / antibiotics.

"BuyItemFail" language refers to "Operation failed".

Not sure where to even look now to be honest. I'm gonna sleep on it and return tomorrow

Edit #3:
I keep procrastinating going to sleep because this is buggin me. More diggin around, I checked out my itemsDB.xml and compared it to the sqldb, there is a mismatch for clipsizes.

Where clipsize = 1 in sqldb, clipsize = 3 in itemsDB.xml

pretty sure that would cause a problem, will try later and update - actually going to sleep now. :^)

It seems to be working fine after syncing the sqldb with itemsDB.xml, thank you again for pointing me in the right direction, while the problem didn't lie exactly within FN_IsItemStackable -> it got my brain churning in the right area.

Solution for my problem: ItemsDB.xml / SQLDB synchronization.

Thanks TheWoodPecker !
