Complete Rody's Angelica Editor Source Code

Could you please text me in Telegram?

The same, please message me again, I got too many messages, some of them are lost sometimes.
Actually, I don't need it anymore; I've been working on the code for quite some time now—even implementing some new editors!
But thanks anyway :)

This is still a work in progress, and I haven’t published it yet.

I share the concern over the RAE leak—while some people have worked hard on it, others can easily get their hands on it. On the other hand, there’s a lot to explore and learn from it.
Given that this is a forum about private servers, everything here has been leaked from the original creators—so that is the fate of all tools, regardless; as the saying goes, "there is no honor among thieves."

Finally someone converted it to C#... C++/CLI is unmaintainable language)
Anyways, is it stable? Did someone try? (always be careful when running something like this)

I was a customer of yours for years. I never purchased the lifetime version because I wanted to support your work through my monthly subscription. I never missed a single payment. Then, without any warning, I suddenly found myself unable to renew my license, leaving me stranded on the very day I needed it.

Thanks for your help so far. Unfortunately, because of this, I was forced to purchase an alternative from another developer. It's disappointing that, after years of supporting your work, this is how things ended. I hope you'll consider handling situations like this differently in the future, as loyal customers deserve some advance notice.

The program itself is the best, but the tech support is terrible — there are no proper contacts for the author, using email is so year 2000. Downloaded the trial version from the site now after a year's break and the trial version doesn't work. To buy the full version you have to go through 10 circles of hell.

Everything works fine, except for a memory leak. My laptop, with 32GB of RAM, is still pretty slow. But hey, we have Sonet and Opus, which can at least fix it little by little. Fable isn't needed, as it's banned outside of the US. At least this source is quite useful while we wait for your genuine RAE update.

Sorry for that experience. I'll do my homework.

Yeah, PayPro Global just cancelled payment accepting for RAE in one day without any chance to restore it. Also, sorry for that.

Imagine having to maintain a commercial grade in-house editor for a game that constantly and paranoidly updates it's .pck, encryption, and .data structures at least monthly in w2i causing you to have to manually reverse engineer structures every month or more for sh!t pay, only for a skid with no life achievements to come and dump your sh!t 😭

Adult vs children 😭😭😭

Can't wait to export a .data with this, get a segfalt or spinlock, never use it again, and then continue using my lifetime RAE License (which was a gift from helping people for free behind the scenes)

This is true. So like usual my reaction is mixed on this. But it is not really in the spirit of MMORPG forums since it's no longer big guy vs little guy but rather Us vs Ourselves in the PW Private Server Scene these days in 2026.

Isn't that right, slop template server spammers in the ENG community?

That’s not even the main issue; if you look at the RAE logs, the last update was in 2024. Most people try to contact the developer via Telegram or email but get no response, which led to someone cracking the tool. I actually own a license for RAE, but two years without an update is a long time.

In the thread itself, there are people complaining that he hadn't responded for over a year regarding license reactivation.
There is a significant number of tools being discontinued on the forum because they have been cracked.

Maybe because maintaining the project became unfeasible? Isn't it the correct way to go about things to ask somebody if they would like to have the project taken over or etc if life does not allow, instead of just dumping? Obviously Rody is around enough to reply to threads, but just has not had the time possibly to catch back up to things or the project? You can pirate whatever you want as long as the forum allows since the server files are all leaks anyway but my point is we don't have to do it to each other in the P.Server community though....😭

Wouldn't it be better to let them speak on the issues with the project themselves, and explain the absence instead of just making the project defunct and allowing any moron to package malware into the tool now if they try to resell it to a noob or idiot on Discord behind the scenes?

Guess how many re-releases of this project there will be with 'fixes' and 'improvements' while also having obfuscated malware inside?

At least 5.

At least five years ago, back when I was clueless about PW, I created a post (using a different account) asking for help with a problem I was having; at the time, you were using a photo of a woman as your avatar and said you’d help me. I contacted you asking for assistance, but you simply ignored me and never replied. OBVIOUSLY, you don't even remember that.

Just answer me this: were you one of the people working with versions that Rody’s editor didn’t support—trying to contact him for over two years with no response? Or did you have a problem requiring Rody’s assistance while he simply acted like the busiest person on earth? If that wasn't your situation, I don't think you should be here trying to defend Rody—or saying anything at all—without understanding the frustration of those who are complaining.

I only work with versions prior to 1.5.5, so the licensed tool works fine for me; however, people started uploading PW server source files years ago—even sending him the structures and asking him to upgrade the framework—but it seems they didn't succeed, or perhaps he was charging too much for the upgrade or simply ignored the requests. I'm talking about PW here; I don't know about the other games the tool supports. Since he sold the tool with a lifetime license to some people, he needs to provide at least a minimum level of support.

In any case, this won't be the first or the last tool to be cracked or dumped.

I remember:
JHS—an editor similar to RAE—was cracked,

PWAdmin Alex was cracked,

Stivie's MapEditor was cracked,

0. Same but people wanting the w2i version to be up to date in RAE isn't taking into account his personal life and anything in real life that could be causing someone to not be present online
1. JHS isn't on the same level of batch operations as RAE
2. An old 4.7 copy of it was cracked with malware/false positive inside which needs to be manually brought up to date to newer versions by hand either with a mitm translation layer or the actual source to fix
3. Only a very very very old version of Map Editor was cracked and newer ones were not. The old copy was very crude with tons of errors and problems in actual practical map editing

JHS was cracked before it was finished, and then development was abandoned.

The last version of MapEditor was cracked and has been circulating since last year.

Yes I did ask him for updates and went through the exact same thing, but I don't think anyone is respecting the amount of effort or time that goes into these things.

As for your other point, that is very weird to bring up but yes I remember everyone who asks me for help in DMs and it is not just you but tons of people and this might come as a shock to you, but there is this thing called real life where life happens to everyone and real events must take precedent over everything online.

If you want to talk about that, lets get into why: Around that time period I went through a bunch of overdoses and nearly died 3 times, in and out of the hospital a bunch, for years, until I got better.

JHS was cracked before it was finished, and then development was abandoned.

I wonder why the development for JHS was abandoned. Now maybe RAE will get officially abandoned instead of put on hold for unknown reasons we haven't even been told yet.

In regards to Steve, that's pretty lame considering how much time and effort goes into creating that software. He is a very nice and helpful person always. I sure hope the Angelica Map Editor software development doesn't slow after UE5PW is complete due to this!

Are we going to pretend that stealing community member's source code or assets is the same as stealing from a massive company like Wanmei?

I don't mind if you approve of cracking or dumping of hard fought software to make, but I personally don't approve of it unless the power dynamic is very unfair or oppressive to everyone else in the community.

It just seems that everyone is fine and okay with it until it happens to some of their tools and then they are against it.

True. I hope genuine RAE updates don't stop!

The truth is simple: most people aren't willing to pay for the tools—they just ask someone to crack or dump them.

RAE had a virtual monopoly on data-editing tools—far ahead of the competition—but the fact that he sold lifetime licenses ended up hurting his long-term financial returns(Maybe they sold lifetime licenses because they were afraid the tool would get cracked back then—I don't know.). I think almost everyone used his tool, but since he stopped providing support, things turned out this way.

As for tools, I personally use the open-source ones available out there and RAE (which I pay for), or I create my own tools based on open-source or Wanmei code; regarding the map tool, I’ve never used it, but I am currently compiling the Wanmei version.

"Virtual monopoly"

One guy? One guy making a tool is enough to stop the entire ecosystem of 'developers' from coding an equivalent tool and mapping .data structs to do so?

So what are you guys doing with all the donation profit on the private servers, or money from sales of 'help or services' on discord to newbie PW Developers? RAE must be too expensive to afford despite all of that

Do we really want to get into money?

I suppose everyone hosts a PW Server for free or for a hobby?

The real truth is simple: People are greedy.

My opinion on what people do with their free time is my own. I don't believe individual developers who provide tooling for the community to actually exist with should be 'thwarted' for no good reason especially if nobody cares about the raw effort involved.

Call them greedy, say they don't want to pay—use whatever word you like—but there will always be people who want to crack or dump things.

Ultimately, the ACE team claimed they dumped it due to a lack of support; I don't know if that's true, but once the first person cracked it, it wasn't going to stop there.

Some also said the source code was sold to someone and dumped following that buyer's release, but the truth is, no one really knows.

The guy who posted the source said he released it because a bunch of people were reselling it.
