Thanks for that. Links all worked, and I was able to get in the game. He removed the Boutique(and probably blanked the gshop.datas) but it's not the end of the world. Element.data has mostly everything the gshops have.

I'm not surprised that the 1.4.6 client will error while downloading at 42%. And tried again, and it failed at 38%. So it's settled then. If I want the client, I have to use the torrent.

I had to look that up. Sad that Python isn't one of them, since apparently this is the goto language for beginners. So far my options are C, C++ and Java. I'd probably go with java as I have a better grasp of OO stuff.

Topic. I also have an interest in trying my hand at programming languages, and since I have dealt with PWI so long, may as well start with it.. Am not designing my own server. Maybe something else.

Really.. well searching for info on this for weeks, and it still just.. pops this thread up and bunch of others which don't exactly have what I'm looking for. I think I need to just start with an easy quest and just LOL delete random stuff to see what doesn't work anymore.

I take it no one still knows what the unknowns are. They aren't exactly the same as 1.3.6. Having a bit of a hard time making quests.

They are trying to make PWI "private server proof". Really why bother at this point? The game is definitely on a decline.
