2142 Lag

Sometimes i get lag in 2142 and thats in the main menu, so i run the game then i cant select any menu as it will lag, so i have to wait 2 mins and this occurs sometimes not always and i got the same problem with the demo and bf2 demo.

What can i do?

Wrong section would probably be better off in the Tech Support, but what is your system? Maybe you just can't run it due to your spec.

I have the same problem when I try to use my 1.8ghz AMD with a 128mb Radeon9250 video card...
But on my Dual Core it runs perfectly...
So.. Most likely your computer.

Or if you have 256k DSL that may add to it but should be in more areas than just the menu.

If its in your menus then its just graphics lag and your current system can't handle the game on the settings you have.

I do not lag in game, even with all on high settings.

Well that setup should more then be able to handle BF2142, have you tried adjusting your settings?

Hmm... Thats almost as good as what I normally use but I never lag.

I have just about everything overclocked, although on my other computer which is... Way worse than yours it only lags a slight bit, but thats when I'm playing not when I open the menu.
Try lowering the settings and not have the graphics all on high.

ok thanks, because it doesnt always happen, sometimes when the game is loaded with all the main menus i can select them easily, maybe before my pc was laggy, or doing something which required alot of resources.

You may have to many programs running at once i play 2142 and I never have lag.

well from game lag experience try lauching the game as a seperate process if you have dual core assign it to a core!
but at the same time it could be a game issue have you tried reinstalling the game and or updating it??

I also looking at the 2142 site to see if their any fixes to this problem.
