The only thing that seems logic to me, is that you have to be at nexon's hq to log in as a gm/admin.

That could have changed from the Time Ecko (Who i personally know) Logged on the GM Account and this point in time. It could have been added

Why would he?

Besides, what does Ecko have anything to do with an authorization system? The only time I saw Ecko as a GM on a screen-shot was 2-3 years ago.
